Assisted Living Administrator
Qualifications: Must have a valid Assisted Living Administrators License and two years of experience with a positive track record or three years of Assisted Living senior level experience and the ability to pass licensing exam within 90 days of hire.
Position Summary: Manages and directs the day to day operation of the facility in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations while upholding the principles, service standards, philosophy and mission of the facility.
Position Responsibilities – Service
- Assure the implementation of resident care services and vibrant programs, in accordance with the policies and procedure that are necessary to achieve the delivery of quality personal care and supportive services to our residents
- Establish and assure that the management team maintains timely, open and effective communication with residents and family members, ensuring that the customer’s expectations are met or exceeded.
- Build, develop and effectively manage staff, optimizing individual and team performance through effective leadership, mentoring and training.
- Assure that all aspects of marketing the facility including networking, sales, advertising, public relations, and community events to ensure the proper development and execution of the marketing plan and to achieve and maintain occupancy. Inputting timely and complete information into Marketing Program.
- Develop a plan to allows for the effective delivery of quality care and excellent service while achieving the financial goals set for the facility
- Interpret existing policy and procedure to nursing staff, resident, families and physicians
- Education and in-service training to staff
- Lead department head meetings
- Assist new employees in following facility policies and procedures
- Implement and review Individual service plans (care plans) per regulations
- Assess potential or new residents
- Assist with admission and discharge process
- Complete or assure that new hire, yearly training, and evaluations are completed
- Answer business phones
- Tour inquiring individuals
- Answering call bells and respond to alarms
- Make any necessary reporting to Regional Administrator, local and state agency
- All other duties assigned
Team Effort:
- Assist in the development and updating of each resident care plan (ISP)
- Assist in ensuring compliance with State and Local Regulations
Action:
- Keep the environment safe for residents
- Provide one-on-one support/visitation to residents
- Respond to emergencies
- Practice safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools, and utensils

Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. . The employee must be free of diseases that can be transmitted in the performance of job responsibilities during the stage of communicability.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to minimal to moderate noise. The employee will be exposed to blood and/or body fluids. The employee may encounter traumatic situations, such as having to care for mentally ill resident and contact the deceased residents. Employee will generally work Monday – Friday business hours with on call 24/7. Working hours on weekends or evenings are on as needed bases.
